Biography about Jens Smærup Sørensen

Jens Smærup Sørensen was born on 30 May 1946 in Staun. He took a Bachelor of Philosophy from the University of Aarhus 1971. He has been a board member of Arena Publishers, Authors’ Publishers, and Archive of New Literature. From 1984-87 he was a member of the literary triumvirate committee of the State Foundation for the Arts, and from 1986-90 he was dramatist-in-residence at Aarhus Teater. He became a member of the Danish Academy in 1995.
