Biography about Tage Skou-Hansen
Tage Skou-Hansen was born 2.12.1925 in Fredericia. In 1950 he obtained an M.A. in general and comparative literary history from the university of Århus. Among his many literary activities he was editor of the journal Heretica and subsequently of Vindrosen. Besides working as consultant for the publishing houses Wivels Forlag in 1952-53 and Gyldendal in 1954-58 he has taught literature at Askov Højskole. Among his numerous committee posts Tage Skou-Hansen was in 1993 a member of the governing committee of the Danish Writer’s Union, and he was a member of the triumvirate committee for the State Foundation for the Arts from 1974 to 1977. Since 1982 he has been a member of the The Danish Academy and has been a member of the council of the State Foundation for the Arts since 1993.
