Vagn Lundbye was born 11.22.1933. He made his first appearance in print in 1966 with the novel Signalement.

1978 - The Critics’ Prize (for the novel Tilbage til Anholt)
1980 - The Danish Art Foundations Lifetime Grant
1992 - The Critics’ Prize at an international poetry festival in Criova, Romania.
