Biography about Villy Sørensen
Villy Sørensen (1929 - 2001) studied at the University of Copenhagen (1947-51) and the University of Freiburg (1952-53). From 1953-1959, with Klaus Rifbjerg, he was co-editor of the literary periodical Vindrosen and from 1987-91 he was editor of the book series Gyldendals Kulturbibliotek. He has been a member of Den Danske Akademi (The Danish Academy) since 1965, Statens Kunstfonds Udvalg for den Litterære Kunst (Literature Committee of the Danish Fund for the Endowment of the Arts) 1965-67 and he sat on Gyldendal´s board 1986-92.
