Biography about Solvej Balle

Solvej Balle was born in southern Jutland in 1962. From 1983-85 she travelled and lived in France and Australia, she spent 1990 in the USA and Canada (Quebec). She studied Comparative Literature (from 1984) and Philosophy (from 1989) at the University of Copenhagen. Solvej Balle published her first book in 1984, the novel Lyrefugl (The Lyrebird), and attended The Writer´s School in Copenhagen from 1987-89. & (&), a book of short prose pieces, was published in 1990.
