Biography about Ib Spang Olsen
Ib Spang
Olsen was born in 1921. He qualified as a teacher in 1943 and thereafter
studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen 1945-49 and Den Grafiske
Skole (the graphic arts college) 1947-49. Ib Spang Olsen has worked as a
teacher at Bernadotteskolen 1952-61, chaired the Ministry of Culture’s working
group on children and culture 1982-90, and been a member of the Council of the
Academy of Fine Arts.
