Biography about Bodil Bredsdorff

Bodil Bredsdorff was born in 1951 in Hillerød. She studied advertising design at Kunsthåndværkerskolen (The School of Arts and Crafts) in Copenhagen, but after two years she changed course, enrolled in a kindergarten teacher training college and in 1974 qualified as an infant teacher. Her first book, Der hvor Linda bor (Where Linda Lives), was published the following year. Bodil Bredsdorff has also worked on a freelance basis for Danmarks Radio B&U department (The Danish broadcasting corporation’s programmes for children and young people), has translated books and worked for a publisher. Today she is a full-time children’s book writer.
