Biography about Maria Helleberg

Maria Helleberg was born 2.1.1956. She took the degree of mag. art. at in Drama and Danish Copenhagen University in 1987. The previous year, 1986, she published her first novel, Seersken (The Prophetess).
Alongside her original work, Maria Helleberg has worked as a critic and columnist for various Danish newspapers, and in 1992-93 she chaired the Original Literature Group in the Danish Writers’ Union. In addition she has acted as resident dramatist in the Svalegangen Theatre in Århus.
