Biography about Thorkild Hansen

Thorkild Hansen was born on 9 January 1927. He has studied Literary History at the University of Copenhagen. His début as an author was a book of literary criticism Minder svøbt i vejr. En studie i Jacob Paludans digtning (Memories Wrapt in Weather) in 1947. In the years 1972-83 Thorkild Hansen worked with the Red Cross. He died on 4 February 1989.

1966 - The Danish Booksellers' Golden Laurels
1971 - The Nordic Council Prize for Literature (for his slave-trilogy)
