But what makes it so incredibly amusing are Michael Larsen´s brilliant
portraits of all these farcical characters, first and foremost of Iver
himself, the man with the seventeen neuroses - no, eighteen in fact, for
he also suffers from a mania for counting. And of course, neuroses are
comical; we know that from Woody Allen and all the other great
humorists: Holberg, Dickens, the whole lot of them.

In Uden sikker viden, Michael Larsen has written an outstanding
techno-erotic thriller that mercilessly, level-headedly and unashamedly
reveals the change in human relations and feelings lurking in the brave
new computer world. People are boxed in in isolation and lust, and
power is in the hands of those who control the images.

On The Snake in Sydney
Slangen i Sydney is an enormously intelligent and well-written thriller
abounding in erudition. The book is an immense achievement, and it
offers a perfect combination of entertainment and food for thought.

His capacity for wonderment is more earthbound than that of Peter
Høeg, but his eyes are just as keen. The novel is more than a thriller
about a snake charmer. It is a remarkable attempt to illuminate and
understand the reality which we so easily take for granted, even
though nothing in this world is immutable.
