I was there at Jericho
For pyramids I helped drag stones
I was there at Waterloo
I heard at Babel fearful groans
Gently I bore Jesus home
to crucifix and waiting tomb
I am fond of child and beast
hate politics and shining swords
Of fairy tales give me a feast
and La Fontaine´s eternal words
And what want I with shooting star
when I spy Pooh Bear from afar
