Excerpts from
25 poems and a dream
By Nicolaj Stochholm
God is all faces, in the church
on the square, on the street, in
the store, in transit, on the door
in saying grace, on the needle
that blends blood with shadows
through your skin, at the cross-
road with red and white cars
rushing from finger tip
to finger tip, sebastian, see
bastian on his way with bull-
eyes like cells in the country
below, a cross turning slowly
around the moon, a hearing
in the names of god, orion
with stars under the skin
hits you blindly with
another sex the very first
day on your own, go to the
side, go to the right with your
lone chance, receive
the euphoria shot into
your busy center, a face
behind the curtain, on the mattress
where you lie naked now
