Mr. Getaway

Mr Getaway is still in Cellbar Prison – just as he was when we last saw him, in Anne Pedersen’s debut book, Hr. Flugt går under jorden (Mr Getaway Goes Underground). One night, a package is thrown into his cell; it contains a file, a balloon and a letter saying “Reach for freedom”. Mr Getaway isn’t slow to take the hint and, having sawed through the bars of his cell, he is carried through the air by the balloon, in his search for freedom. He realises that there are just as many ideas of what freedom is as there are people he meets along the way. So he is very relieved when he finally discovers that it has all been a dream
