The cartoonist and author Jakob Strid has been invited to Moscow in connection with the publication in Russian of his children’s book Little Frog. Jakob Strid will present his book as well as participate in panel discussions about children’s literature, will be interviewed by several radio stations and visit a children’s hospital and a school for graphic design. Children’s and young adult literature will be the main theme of the Book Fair, during which the Literature Center will meet Russian publishers and inform them about the Arts Council’s system of international grants, the Danish publishing world, and new Danish literature. Right now there is an increasing Russian interest in Danish literature.
Staff from the Arts Council’s Literature Center and the Danish Embassy in Moscow will assist Jakob Strid in these activities. The Book Fair opens Wednesday, November 28th, and will continue until Sunday, November 2nd, inclusive.
